Blue Shield Insurance offers a Medicare plan as well as a supplemental plan (Medigap).

65 Plus Medicare + Choice HMO Plans:

65 Plus plans have no deductibles and cover all inpatient and outpatient care covered by the Original Medicare insurance plan. Eligibility- To be eligible, you must be a Medicare beneficiary entitled to Medicare Part A, and live in one of the plan service areas.

Rates:

• No Monthly Premium
• Doctor Office Visits $10 for each primary care doctor office visit, $20 for each specialist visit
• For each prescription or refill, $10 for formulary generic drugs up to a 30-day supply; $25 for formulary brand drugs up to a 30-day supply; $20 for mail order formulary generic drugs up to a 90-day supply; $50 for mail order formulary drugs up to a 90-day supply

Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap): They also offer seven standardized Medicare Supplement Plans, which cover most of the Medicare deductibles, coinsurance and co-payments.

• Coverage for some of the gaps in Medicare health care benefits
• Freedom to choose any doctor, hospital or other provider who accepts Medicare, without being limited to a network
